Stomach and intestine medicines

This group covers medicines used for problems of the stomach and intestines, such as acidity, ulcers and cramping tummy pain. It follows the grouping used in the National Formulary of India, published by the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission. It includes medicines that lower stomach acid, such as proton pump inhibitors, and antispasmodics that relax gut muscle.
